The Sharing Jed Foundation

Our Integrity Idol competition earlier this year granted us the opportunity to hear from our incredibly talented Integrity family and award numerous charities making a difference in our communities.

We were honored to give an $8,500 check to Integrity Idol finalist Candi Golden of Eldercare Insurance Services. Her charity of choice was The Sharing Jed Foundation.

The Sharing Jed Foundation is an organization that helps families in need, especially those who have children that have been diagnosed with cancer. This organization was started by Candi’s childhood best friend and second cousin, Lori Haggard Harper. Laurie and Candi were six months apart, best friends growing up, lived two miles from each other, and Laurie was the maid of honor at Candi’s wedding.

“Laurie’s son Jed had cancer at three. He’s now 13 and he’s NED, which means no evidence of disease. My friend Laurie and her husband, Josh, started the foundation to assist other families who were also up there dealing with that childhood disease.”

Laurie and Josh’s journey with their son Jed opened their eyes to the needs of families, especially of children diagnosed with cancer. Over the past ten years, from food and gas cards, toy drives and even household renovations, The Sharing Jed Foundation lends support to families in need.

Here’s Candi at the Arkansas Children’s Hospital donating to families in need:

Thank you, Candi, and thank you to everyone who participated, sang and donated during Integrity Idol. We’re grateful to be helping a good cause like The Sharing Jed Foundation.
