A Mother’s Love for Giving

Recently, Integrity Partner and Scott Riddle Agency President Jacque Huggins shared her connection to service and love for her mother, Mary Sulak. Jacque lost her mother several months ago to heart disease.

Jacque was raised in a household of six children — three sisters and two brothers, with her sister Debbie having Down syndrome. Tragedy struck the young family when, at the age of 14, Jacque lost her father to a heart attack, leaving her mom with four children still at home, including Debbie. Below is a photo of Jacque with Debbie.

Everyone Mary interacted with was very special to her. She was a giver in every sense of the word, from taking care of her family to always volunteering in her church, community, and with the Pink Ladies at the local hospital. She specifically aimed to help those with special needs, inspired by her relationship with Debbie.

Jacque describes her mother as a strong, courageous woman who overcame hardships with a smile on her face and a determination to make the best of things. She instilled a strong work ethic in Jacque and was proud of her work in insurance and her decision to become an Integrity partner.

For the month of February, Scott Riddle Agency joined in wearing red to raise awareness for cardiovascular disease and the American Heart Association in tribute to Jacque’s mother.

Our Integrity family is so grateful for the love of service both Jacque and her mother shared. Special thanks to Jacque Huggins for sharing her mother’s inspiring story, which is a reminder to all of us to find a love for serving others.
