On the most recent “Inspire” Podcast, we got to hear from Chris Shields, President of Shields Brokerage.
Chris has always had an adventurous spirit. In his youth, he tried his hand at every sport he could. He’s been surfing in Hawaii, windsurfing in Greece and even kiteboarding in the Outer Banks.
To fund these extreme sports, Chris got a job working at a sporting goods retailer. Eventually, his mother, Shields Brokerage founder Joe Anne Shields, paid him a visit and asked him about his success. Chris proudly told her he had earned a bonus, but that they were paying him in the form of a new mountain bike and skis instead of cash. She then convinced Chris to join the family business so he could earn his own money to buy sports equipment or anything else he needed in the future.
Nowadays, Chris is still adventuring… just a little bit safer. His current passion is Jeeping. He loves taking his Jeep off-road, getting muddy and exploring nature. He found a way to fuel his passion for adventure by going off-roading as often as he could.
Chris embraces the challenge of off-roading and loves to try new things. That is why he is excited to be partnering with Integrity. With this partnership, Chris can apply his love of adventure to his business and find new ways to grow his company.
