Building While Healing

Recently on the “Inspire” Podcast, we announced our partnership with SeniorCare Benefits. We spoke with SCB’s CEO Brent DePeppe and learned a little about his incredible story during a difficult, yet formative, time of his life.

Nine days after founding SeniorCare Benefits, Brent’s 14-month-old daughter Hadlee went in for a routine surgery. What should have been a smooth operation turned life-altering when Hadlee went into cardiac arrest. Hadlee went without oxygen for quite some time and suffered a traumatic brain injury that has changed the entire family’s life.

Having already invested everything into his new business, Brent began building SeniorCare Benefits from his daughter’s hospital room. He persevered during those difficult months from the hospital, watching his daughter recover and his business begin to grow. Above and below are some touching photos of that time in Brent and his family’s life.

Today, Hadlee is six years old. While she still suffers the effects of her brain injury, Brent and his family are able to provide wonderful care for her. We are so lucky to have strong people like Brent and his family join our team at Integrity.
