Deril Johnson of ThomasARTS blew us away with his wood carving video! With a long history in design, it’s no surprise this creative director has artistic talent to spare. What started as a spark of curiosity has turned into a beloved hobby for Deril. He explained, “Ever since I was a young boy, I’ve been fascinated by wood carving — specifically the kind that make you scratch your head and wonder, ‘How did they do that?’ Thankfully, someone took the time to explain to me how to do it. I have since combined that idea of scratch-your-head wonder and my love for abstract sculptures.”
By displaying his sculptures, Deril is able to share his story of creation with others. And because of the curiosity that spurred Deril to begin his wood carving journey, he hopes sharing his talent will inspire others to create and share whatever brings them joy.
Deril’s chosen charity is Operation Underground Railroad. Though it was difficult for him to pick just one cause, this charity’s mission to end human trafficking is so compelling to Deril. Integrity is proud to make a donation to Operation Underground Railroad in his name.
