For Unique Hunnicutt, President of Real Life Solutions, she has seen and created this impact for her family, her team and hundreds of local kids.
Unique grew up in a troubled home in one of the poorest parts of Dallas. Her mother was often overcome with personal struggles that left Unique to take care of herself and her little brother. Because of her upbringing, Unique was squarely focused on finding a way out of poverty and building a better tomorrow for herself. When she came into the insurance industry, Unique recognized the opportunity to take charge of her life and build the future she wanted.
Today, Unique has built a life she loves. She is a leader with a vision centered around making a positive impact in her local community. Several years ago, Unique found out that her local school supply drive was struggling to keep up with kids’ needs and decided she and the Real Life Solutions family could fix that. Pulling from her experiences as a child growing up without, she passionately helped organize an effort to fill up more than 300 backpacks with school supplies for elementary school kids in need. She says every year it’s been getting bigger, turning the fundraising effort into an entire community affair!
Now, the Real Life Solutions’ back-to-school event takes over a school gym for an entire day of service. In addition to the backpacks stuffed with supplies, they bring doctors and dentists to further meet the kids’ and families’ needs. They have firefighters come out to talk about safety. And on top of all that, local barbers and stylists are on-site to give kids free haircuts — so every student can look and feel their best as they start a new school year.
Unique’s leadership and heart of service makes her a perfect fit for the Integrity family. We love how her passion for her community goes beyond the business and continues to help those in need.
