At Integrity, we know success is never a solo act — it takes a community, a family. Enriz Ramirez, CEO of MCare1 Agency, understands that deeply. He’s lived through rebuilding after natural disasters and seen firsthand what’s possible when your community stands behind you.
Growing up in Puerto Rico, Enriz says his beginnings were humble. His world was turned upside down when a hurricane destroyed his family’s home. They immigrated to the United States and settled down in New York City. His father worked as a social worker, and though times were tough, a network of social programs, nonprofits and community organizations helped the family regain their footing. That support not only opened doors for Enriz’s education but also inspired his lifelong passion of volunteerism and philanthropy.
Enriz’s focus on service has had many outlets throughout his career, from time spent enlisted in the U.S. Army to volunteering with a variety of community and faith-based organizations while a college student. Through it all, his guiding question has always been “How can I help?” As he built his career in the insurance industry, he would continue to find the answer by delivering meals, providing public transportation fare cards and much like his father before him, helping put together applications for community needs.
Today, as CEO, he is constantly ingraining into his agents the importance of community service and giving back — teaching them to not only be sources of industry knowledge for their neighbors, but to be the boots on the ground helping everyday people. As a father and now grandfather, Enriz continues to evangelize the importance of service to the younger generations of his family and team, reminding them to be grateful for what they have and to have a servant’s heart.
