Lynn Russell – Supporting a Cause to Help a Grandchild

Category: Integrity Contests, Integrity Culture, Integrity Serves

Date: May 22, 2020

Many of our Integrity Idol semi-finalists have deep personal connections to the charities they’re supporting. That certainly is the case with our contestant, Lynn Russell of MultiState Insurance.

Lynn is donating to the American Liver Foundation, Great Lakes Division. It’s an organization that promotes education, support and research for the prevention, treatment and cure of liver disease in Illinois and Lynn’s home state of Michigan. And those efforts mean a great deal to someone very special in Lynn’s life:

“I chose the American Liver Foundation because my 19-month-old granddaughter Ellie was born with biliary atresia, a disease of the bile ducts that affects only infants. It makes her bile ducts inflamed and blocked, causing the bile to remain in her liver, where it starts to destroy liver cells and causes scarring. There is no cure for it — Ellie will most likely need a liver transplant at some point in her life.”

Lynn, we wish you, little Ellie and the rest of your wonderful family the very best as you meet these challenges together. We’re honored to donate $500 to the American Liver Foundation, Great Lakes Division in yours and Ellie’s names.
