In the insurance space, there is one defining factor that makes an agent an advocate: having a heart of service. Cecelia Brown, President of BBHA Insurance Services, is an outstanding advocate. You can see her passion for service in how she leads her team, is building her business, and stands up for her community. She sets a high standard for her agents to follow and leads by example.
A passion for advocacy runs deep in Cecelia’s family. Her grandmother marched in the women’s suffrage movement and demanded her daughters and granddaughters exercise their right to vote. Her spirit is seen in Cecelia’s work.
Since she started in the industry, Cecelia has been making sure seniors are properly cared for, from helping them find the best coverage to guiding them through working with the providers. She tells her customers if they ever get a confusing bill or letter, to call her. She will drive over, advise them on what to do next, or even help call hospitals to find answers. She trains her team to give the same level of service and support.
For Cecelia, her work serving seniors goes beyond her business. She hosts meetings to inform seniors of their rights and to teach them how to access resources. She also volunteers with a group in her local rural town of Fallbrook, the Foundation of Senior Care. The nonprofit works with doctors, patients and grocery stores to make sure seniors get rides to their appointments and have their food delivered.
