Fortifying Fort Wayne

Leaving a lasting legacy is important to members of the Integrity family. For some, it’s for their family; for others, their community. But Tim Ash of Ash Brokerage can proudly say his legacy is steeped in serving a whole city. Tim is proud of his home in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and that civic pride got the ball rolling on a journey that revitalized the entire metropolitan area and its people.

Eight years ago, Tim and his team were exploring potential locations for a new business headquarters. At that time, Fort Wayne’s downtown was a landscape of empty buildings. Tim wanted to do something to breathe life back into downtown, so he decided to move his headquarters to the heart of Fort Wayne, building a beautiful campus to inspire the community to join the revitalization efforts — and it did just that!

In the last half decade, the entire city has transformed. New buildings, restaurants, businesses and more are popping up all over town. Tim himself is a key figure in the development, working on a project called Electric Works to reimagine over a million square feet of Fort Wayne. With construction cranes overhead and construction booming, it’s clear that Tim gave the city a new lease on life.

But Tim’s not done yet! He’s also an avid philanthropist. The Ash Center is a passion project for Tim and his wife, Libby. It serves underprivileged youth in the Fort Wayne community through America’s favorite pastime: baseball. Thousands of kids each week go to the Ash Center to play baseball and receive mentorship. For Tim, giving back to his community is more than just passion, it’s a responsibility.

Be sure to check out the rest of our conversation with Tim over on the “Inspire” Podcast. We explored how his father’s legacy in this industry shaped his desire to serve and Tim’s vision for the future with Integrity. You won’t want to miss it!
