More than ever before, women are making a bold and powerful impact in the insurance industry — and it’s because of iconic leaders like Jasmine Suazo, Co-Founder of The Wealth Academy. She has built a company focused on mentoring women and teaching them how to be successful in not only business, but as mothers.
When Jasmine was a teenager, she was faced with a challenge that became her biggest blessing — becoming a mother. She had dreams of going to college to become a lawyer, but many of the programs and assistance offered to her as a teen mom didn’t support her big ambitions. Jasmine pressed on while balancing the responsibilities of being a mother and student, graduating from Howard University and later earning a master’s degree in public policy from DuPaul University.
Jasmine quickly became an example for other young mothers in her community and would spend time coaching them on how to balance motherhood while pursuing higher education. After learning that teenage mothers in her hometown only had a 2% chance of completing college she knew she wanted to do even more to help out.
Recognizing the odds and her own feat in overcoming them, Jasmine started the nonprofit Generation Moms. She built classes and mentorship programs to give teen moms a road map to higher education, the mental and emotional strength to overcome staggering challenges and the push forward to accomplish their own goals.

Jasmine started part-time in the insurance industry as a way to fund her nonprofit, but as her business quickly grew, she saw more opportunities for encouraging women at all stages of life. As co-founder of The Wealth Academy, she continues to support her nonprofit and is spreading her message of empowerment and hope to more people than ever before. Now with Integrity’s support, Jasmine will ensure her legacy of mentorship and service is supported for years to come. Learn more about Jasmine and her team by watching their announcement video here!
