As the business expanded, however, he recognized the importance of finding balance and an outlet beyond the day-to-day demands of leadership. That’s when he discovered Brazilian jiujitsu.
On the mat, Erick found many of the same principles that drive success in insurance: discipline, humility, perseverance and continuous improvement. Training requires complete focus, allowing him to step away from the pressures of running a business while challenging himself to grow in new ways. The experience became even more meaningful when his son began training alongside him, giving them an opportunity to learn, develop, and strengthen their bond together.
