The call to serve shows up in many forms across the Integrity family. For some, it’s a professional purpose; for others, it’s a deeply personal legacy passed from one generation to the next. Today, we’re proud to introduce Alex Abuyuan, Co-Founder of ABN Financial Group, and share a remarkable story of service that spans three generations of his family.
Before entering the insurance industry, Alex answered a different kind of calling as an officer in the United States Air Force. His decision carried deep personal meaning, rooted in the journey of his father, Domingo Abuyuan, whose own military service forever changed the trajectory of their family.
Domingo grew up in the Philippines and saw military service as a pathway to opportunity. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy, earning a place among the elite Seabees (Construction Battalion). Over a 20-year career that included service in Vietnam, Domingo became a U.S. citizen, met his future wife and built the foundation for the life his family enjoys today. Witnessing firsthand how service transformed his father’s life made Alex’s decision to serve not just natural, but deeply personal.
Graduating from the U.S. Air Force Academy and pinning on his first lieutenant bars became a defining moment for both men. Alex recalls embracing his father afterward: “It was just one of those hugs you never forget.” A moment that honored sacrifice, achievement and a shared commitment to something bigger than themselves.
That legacy continues today. Alex’s oldest son has joined the Air Force as well, serving as an HC-130 search and rescue pilot. Like his father before him, he has also become a licensed agent — bridging service in uniform with service to families.
Together, Alex and his wife and Co-Founder, Ginny Abuyuan, have built ABN Financial Group around those same values of service, family and opportunity.
