Mountain climbing is often used metaphorically by businesses to describe ascent and growth, but new Partner Jeffrey Russek of Russek Financial Services doesn’t talk about mountaineering metaphorically. Jeffrey is an experienced mountaineer, scaling our planet’s toughest peaks. As a young man, he set a personal goal of climbing the “Seven Summits of the Seven Continents.” He has summited five of the seven!
Jeffrey’s mountain climbing has brought him to Argentina to climb Aconcagua (the tallest peak outside Asia), to Tanzania for Kilimanjaro, Alaska for Denali and Mt. Elbrus in Russia. Although he shared that the most unusual mountain he’s travelled to was for the Austral-Asian leg of his journey in Papua New Guinea. Carstensz Pyramid is unique, too, because the base of the mountain is in a hot rainforest but, to reach the peak, you have to cross a glacier near the top!
What about the other two on the list, Mt. Everest and Vinson Massif? He says he’s not planning on finishing the list. After his daughter was born, his desire to take big risks vanished and he is now dedicated to being a present father. Be sure to check out the rest of our interview with Jeffrey over on the “Inspire” Podcast to learn more about this exciting new Partner and his incredibly adventurous life!
