Power of Positivity

Last week on the “Inspire” Podcast, we invited the incredibly talented Jake Tesch from ThomasARTS to sing during the intro portion of our show. Jake had both a beautiful song and story to share.

On July 30, 2020, Jake’s 17-year-old niece Sarah Frei was in a car with three other friends when they were hit head-on by an impaired driver. Miraculously, Sarah survived, but she lost both of her legs due to her internal injuries. Despite her loss and 20+ surgeries, Sarah’s positivity and bright spirit have never wavered.

To help pay for the many medical bills and lifelong recovery, Jake Tesch and his wife, Amanda, decided to put their talents to good use and throw a benefit concert for Sarah and her immediate family. TA stepped up to help sponsor the event, and ultimately, they were able to raise $17,000 for his niece and her recovery. Here are some moving photos of Sarah, the concert and her family.

Sarah Frei

It’s always humbling to hear stories like Sarah’s — she is a force who will not be stopped from spreading positivity and good in the world, despite her own tragedy. And it’s always an honor to be able to help in any way.

We’re grateful to Jake for sharing his talent and experience with us. These are the stories our “Inspire” Podcast loves to tell. You can follow Sarah’s powerful journey on her Instagram account @strong.like.sarah.
