Unity of Dreams

Jorge Pelayo’s journey is steeped in dedication, adversity and triumph. Before he was the founder of one of the most successful agencies in the country, Unity, Jorge was a young entrepreneur trying to help his family.

Jorge grew up in humble surroundings. His family struggled when the economy took a downturn. So, at the tender age of twelve, with nothing but a lawnmower and some flyers, Jorge took his first steps on a path that would change his family’s life forever and lead him to unparalleled success.

On the “Inspire” Podcast, Jorge told me how his mom would drive him across town so he could mow lawns. On Sundays, he would take her, his grandmother and his siblings to lunch and paid the bill with what he earned. Those moments when he could help his family as a young entrepreneur are foundational to the roots of Unity. However, what would happen during his time as a young agent had an even bigger impact.

At 21, Jorge was building his career as an agent when he was rocked by difficult news — his mother had cancer. He saw his mother return to work while she was still going through chemo and battling her illness just to pay for her own medical care. This invigorated Jorge, and he pushed himself harder than ever before. As he built Unity, Jorge took more bills and responsibilities off his parents’ plate until they could fully retire.

Through Unity, Jorge is achieving his American dream, supporting his family and helping others do the same. His leadership philosophy — rooted in guiding, encouraging and inspiring hope — has cultivated an environment where agents and clients are part of a larger family, united in the pursuit of a better tomorrow.

Now with Integrity’s support, Unity’s future is even brighter! Learn more about Jorge and the Unity agency on the “Inspire” Podcast here!
